The Spaces Between –
A Performance from POST
The spaces between is a performance based on a chance
happening. Whilst taking part in a derive, two houses sat either side of a
gaping hole, a huge cavernous hole, the image of which became emotionally,
physically and intellectually connected with 25 Cromwell street, the
Gloucestershire residence of Fred and Rosemary West. Once a so called ‘House of
Horrors’ and now merely the space between.
We strive to discover what exists when what was, no longer
is.
Two or more realities co-exist side by side, there are moments
of knowing, discovery and confession. A group of performers navigate through
the minefield of performing the gaps.
T.V light guides the way as the two realities communicate
through tiny romanticised live images beamed through from the other side: a
cardboard reality of boxed in gestures and secret nuances.
We take you on a voyeuristic journey into the places where
reality meets fiction, life meets death and beginning meets end.
